Enigmatic Smile of Mona Lisa

We all know the famous painting of Leonardo the Vinci which is Mona Lisa. It was very popular to the whole world. Many of us are curious about the smile of Mona Lisa. It is intriguing. I am curious about who is that girl behind the face of Mona Lisa. And also how did Leonardo the Vinci came up to that face of Mona Lisa and the name of it.

Many researchers had researched about the mysterious smile of Mona Lisa. The Dutch said that the smile of Mona Lisa is 83 % happy, 9 % disgusted, 6% fearful, 2 % angry, less than 1% neutral, and not surprised at all. Another thing that the researchers did was the faces of ten women of Mediterranean ancestry were used to create a composite image of a neutral expression. The researchers compared the composite image and the painting. They got six emotions: happiness, surprise, anger, disgust, fear and sadness.

The facial expression of Mona Lisa seems to change depending on the direction from which you look at the painting. I was really curious of what is the real mood of Mona Lisa in the painting. Researchers had made many researches about the smile of Mona Lisa. But what are the real emotions of Mona Lisa shown in the painting? You, do you have any idea? Share it with me.
